Parks Project has been preserving and protecting public lands for years through the sale of National Park branded merch—from vintage tees and Nat Geo collabs to candles inspired by your favorite park’s notable scents. And now they're doing so with a new National Park bandana collaboration with Hanks Kerchiefs.
Made in California, the limited-edition hankerchiefs honor six of America's most iconic US National Parks. A portion of proceeds will help Parks Project continue their mission to directly fund backlogged projects in the parks around the US, as well as park clean ups and campaigns and initiatives for getting kids outside, like Open OutDoors.
"I've become more passionate about protecting the spaces we have here in the States... there's something about the spirit of the parks that I think has always sort of spoken to me," Hanks Kerchief Founder Colin Hanks says of the collaboration. "For me, working together is a no brainer because I want to be able to help the parks in any way that I can."
The illustrative handkerchiefs ($34) feature recognizable landmarks in Utah, Texas, Colorado, Washington, and California. And while hankies, bandanas, handkerchiefs—whatever you want to call them—have many uses, including a face covering for when social distancing isn't possible, it's best you think twice before using this one as your backpacking pee rag (try this instead), as each release is limited.
Parks Project has a ten-year goal of funding 100 parks projects and hitting 100,000 volunteer hours. Grab a new hankerchief and help 'em out!
