How better to showcase an extensive line of technical mountain apparel and accessories than videos and photos of happy people climbing, hiking, and running through beautiful Nordic landscapes? All four episodes of The Call exhibit the brand's performance materials and unmatched style—among the quirky storyline you’re guaranteed to spot a zipper wandering off-center and a contrasting triangle integrated into garment patterns, echoing the shape of the brand's climbing mouse mascot; both trademarks of Klättermusen’s singular design language. It's this balance of performance, design, and style that has made Klättermusen a Field Mag favorite since our earliest days.
Minor spoiler: the crew from The Call emerge from their nature outing recharged. Meanwhile, we're still lingering over the kit that they got out in. Read on to go deeper on a few key pieces from Klättermusen's new collection that caught our eye.
Klättermusen Balderus Jacket
A new addition this season, the Belderus fleece jacket is made with proprietary Wuru fabric, a heavyweight knit fleece containing 46% recycled wool blended with polyester and polyamide fibers to improve durability, shape retention, and moisture management. Chest and shoulder panels made from Ultramid polyamide nylon add additional weather protection, along with a generally stylish contrast of materials. Shelled fleeces are classic outdoor fare, but Klättermusen's take goes beyond the standard look. The Balderus is available with and without a hood to suit your preference.

Klättermusen Allgrön 2.0 Jacket
In its second iteration, the brand’s star four-season shell returns for FW26, offering hikers fully waterproof protection with proprietary 3-layer Cutan fabric—with taped seams for good measure—and thoughtfully placed ventilation. Highly breathable, soft to the touch, and pleasantly quiet, Cutan fabric makes the Allgrön especially suitable for weatherproof trekking wear, without the distraction of the swishing sound that comes with most technical shell fabrics. For extra durability, Klättermusen’s designers reinforced the lower arm, back, and hem with their own Duracoat, a fabric treatment that increases durability by five times without increasing weight or adding bulk. (And without PFAS, of course!) For users drifting off marked trails, RECCO reflectors add to the Allgrön 2.0’s backcountry capabilities.

Klättermusen Gere 3.0 Pants
The Gere 3.0 pants continue to evolve throughout a remarkable 30-year-plus tenure in the Klättermusen product line. Arriving this season in a new rich slate brown colorway, the all-season trail pant pairs nicely with more saturated mid-layers and outerwear from the brand, along with just about any hiking route you can dream up. Klättermusen’s densely woven Endurance Stretch Levitend, a fabric made from 95% bio-mass-balanced Ultramid polyamide and 5% elastane, lends the pant a high degree of durability with a natural resistance to wind and pesky summer mosquitoes.
