Danish menswear brand Norse Projects counts its fans in numerous corners of the menswear landscape. With this month's introduction of ARKTISK, they may also grab the attention of outdoor recreation diehards with a discerning eye for good design and quality manufacturing (i.e. us).
The new sub-label introduces the company's first ever footwear designs, in addition to luxe outerwear silhouettes like the insulated, weatherproof Gore-Tex Mountain Parka ($1,350) and technical knitwear such as the Tech Merino Half Zip ($370). With the inclusion of warm accessories, ARKTISK touches on categories the brand covers in its main line.

But, what makes the launch of ARKTISK truly exciting to us is the introduction of footwear under the Norse Projects banner. With three styles, the lineup is considerably brief, consisting of the Zip Up Runner ($325), Mountain Boot ($325), the soon-to-come Lace Up Runner (TBD), but the brand has certainly put thought into its concise initial offering. The two former models are available beginning today from Norse Projects and select retailers, with the Lace Up Runner launching at a later date.
