If there’s one thing the Field Mag team loves, it’s the blurring of lines between streetwear and fashion with functional outdoor gear. Released this week, the limited edition, three-piece Helinox x Carhartt WIP collection features Helinox’s signature Sunset Chair ($285), the curious Tactical Field Office ($305), and beach-ready Royal Box Shade ($535), each done up in Carhartt WIP’s signature Tide Camo.
Between all the bylines you see on Field Mag, our collective bums have spent some serious time sat outside, testing camping chairs, camping couches, and pretty much every other form of camp gear there is. And we can confidently say Helinox has no peer when it comes to functional, reliable, design-driven furniture for the outdoors.
Among the many products Helinox offers, on one end is the backpacking-friendly, 1 lb Chair Zero. The Sunset Chair selected for this collab sits near the middle of the range, offering a fourteen-inch seat height and a supportive high back that brings its overall height to 38.5 inches. The lightweight aluminum poles and durable seating surface weigh only 3.8 pounds once packed up in its 18.5-inch carrying case, perfect for an oversized beach tote or just tossed in the trunk.
Next up in the lineup is the Tactical Field Office, a gear bag and low-height camp table combo inspired by military field desks used by officers and refined for the modern camper. The 15-liter cargo bag is also enveloped in the Thyme Tide Camo and perfect for stashing your working-from-camp gear.
