Brooklyn-based apparel brand Adsum was founded in 2015 to bring both a clean and technical sportswear approach to a grown-up version of streetwear. Past collections have included lightweight down outerwear, thick plaid flannels, and both fleece tops and bottoms. For Spring '21, the brand brings another round of approachable shoulder season staples—a number of which have caught our attention.
The Work Jacket is one such piece that impressed us for its understated style and thoughtful details. A full cotton outer and light poplin lining keeps it breathable while the corduroy collar adds that workwear touch. It’s been said that the tradition of corduroy collars comes from the ability of the material’s wales (the tufted ridges) to channel water away from the wearer’s neck, making it especially applicable for both rainy and sweaty spring days.
