Johnie Gall is a writer and photographer based in Ojai, California. She has been reviewing women's outdoor gear and exploring stories at the intersections of art, adventure, and science for more than a decade. Her work has appeared in the LA Times, National Geographic Adventure, Beside, Surfer's Journal, Foam Magazine, Range Magazine, Patagonia Journal, and others. She also shoots a lot of film (when the price of Portra allows for it).
Johnie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University.
