Designed for those of us who call the city home, but deep down belong in the outdoors, the WAYKS ONE modular backpack is a pure example of form and function coming together to create a product that actually makes life more simple. Plus it’s made almost entirely of PFC-free fabric created from 100% recycled PET plastic bottles.
The foundation is a roll-top Day Pack, with the Cube being second main component. The pack itself can be configured in a number of ways and worn alone—a roll-top backpack, with our without chest straps, rear lash-ons, etc—with a clamshell design making for easy packing and organizing, and quick access on the move.
The same goes for the Cube. It can be used along as a padded camera bag, small cooler, or general crossbody bag.
Together they combine to create an adventure-ready pack with detachable hip belt functionality, adjustable shoulder straps, and additional carrying capacity. The water-repellent kit as a whole is available in two contemporary colorways, with the Day Pack alone offering 30L of carrying space (the Cube adds another 7L).
WAYKS ONE is now on Kickstarter—with just over a week remaining the brother and sister design team are hoping to move beyond just covering the initial production fees and begin supporting their dream of working on the project full-time.
