It’s no secret that we here at Field Mag love ourselves a good cabin. So what could be more exciting than a new architecture-focused tent inspired by the classic A-Frame cabin design, and American camping culture?
Enter the Alpha Breeze, a new tent design specifically targeted toward North American campers from Japan’s preeminent maker of high-end titanium camp gear and minimalist outdoor apparel, Snow Peak.
The newly unveiled tent is the latest addition to the brand's growing category of impressive and innovative outdoor shelters, released as part of the multipurpose, three-season Entry Line tent collection, which is now available in a new icy Ivory colorway.
With tapered sides and a lofty 73-inch high peak, the Alpha Breeze Tent is inspired by the look and construction of traditional A-Frame houses and Adirondack lean-to hiking shelters. But as befits Snow Peak, the tent is equal parts aesthetic and functionality.
The ivory-colored tent walls not only make for a cohesive, attractive look, but the color-coordinated pieces streamline the set-up process. The spacious, airy interior has the capacity for four people, and four different entry points on each side of the tent allow for increased ventilation and access. The entry vestibule can also be propped up as an awning for protection from the sun or rain or to just serve as a place to hang out in the shade.
In addition to the Alpha Breeze, several other of Snow Peak’s best tent have been updated with the Ivory colorway, including the four-person Amenity Dome(a product name we are particularly fond of) and the one-person Lago.
The USA-exclusive Alpha Breeze is now available for $500.
