If you ride a bicycle in the city you’re likely familiar with Levi’s Commuter collection. The seasonal line of cycling-minded gear always comes complete with slim jeans with 3M reflective inseam taping, a U-lock loop at the waist, and often a few lightweight jackets with more reflective details. Well guess what, the new Fall Winter 2016 line has all those goodies, plus a few more new designs, including a whole heap of women’s specific denim styles and a new rendition o the iconic Trucker Jacket for both guys and gals too. A Vans x Levi’s Authentic is a welcomed addition as well.
The goal of the collection is to supply city cyclists, commuters, and other active folks looking to look good without being inhibited by their gear. The designs feature few give-aways as to their active intentions (thankfully) and transition seamlessly from bike to office, or dinner, or a date. To ensure each piece lasts for more than a few days in the saddle, their own Endurance Fabric is utilized to increase durability. Four-way stretch denim helps prevent crotch blowouts, wick moisture, and combat brief rain showers.
Highlights on the men’s side include a rain shell and bomber with two-way zippers, a cozy shirt jacket, and of tech-laden hoodie. For the women, an indigo long sleeve tunic is certainly up there, as well as the updated Trucker Jacket. Happy commuting!
