Dakine is back at it again with its durable, day-to-day and travel friendly gear, but this time, sleeker than ever, sustainably made, and in collaboration with our good friends RANGE, a female-founded and operated creative agency and magazine.
Available from today, the recycled, unisex Range Collection comes complete with four bags of various sizes and functions, an accessory pouch set, and a lightweight ball cap. What’s different about this selection of pieces versus your average Dakine bag is that they're all made from post-consumer recycled materials: ripstop polyester and bluesign® approved fabrics, largely weatherized to keep the elements at bay wherever you find yourself.
Crowned MVP by Field Mag Editors, the Classic Cinch Tote ($60) is the star of this show. Roomy (28L), durable, and enviro-friendly, the handsome tote is perfect for hauling surf gear, climbing equipment, groceries, etc. Plus it comes with a utensil pouch for keeping reusable utensils close at hand (utensils not included, but highly recommended). Ample pocket storage inside and out and a clever cinch top (like an oversized chalk bag) keep your belongings where they belong—it's a clear winner.
Runner up is the Barrel Pack ($85), great as an everyday carry or general day hike pack. With the tote style top handles, multiple pockets, and drawstring closure on this one as well, it's a standout from the familiar Dakine backpack we're used to seeing.
Strong supporting roles in the capsule collection include the fanny pack and accessory pouches. Organize your life! And look good doing it.
