For my fellow lovers of print media, DIY culture, climbing, and cool people making rad stuff, there’s MÁS, a divergent media collective founded by photographer and climbing coach Bella Rojas, photographer Nic Sabo, and artist Hiram Trejo. This past weekend marked the release of their second zine, documenting a winter trip to Bishop, CA—an inspiring follow up to Issue 1, documenting rock climbing in New York City.
All proceeds from purchases will benefit the Okra Project—a worldwide organization providing crucial resources to Black Trans people—and the Paiute-Shoshone Cultural Center in Bishop.
Shot entirely on 35mm film, the highly visual, full-bleed zine celebrates all that goes into a climbing trip with friends—from frozen mornings and stiff warmups to highball bouldering and golden hour sends.
In the face of most "peak bagging" obsessed climbing coverage, photographers Bella, Hiram, and Sabo take a more human approach to the medium, balancing beautiful landscapes and artful closeups with raw and genuine moments familiar to all who value the feeling of dry skin on rough rock.
This one's for all who've ever slept in rental car at a foreign crag, shivered through a night under the stars in a borrowed sleeping bag, shared shitty campfire-cooked meals with great friends, gotten a flapper on day one of a week-long trip or sent a project on the last day. MÁS is for the people.

MÁS Volume 2 is avaialble in an edition of 100 on a slide scale of $20. All proceeds benefit the Okra Project and Paiute-Shoshone Cultural Center in Bishop, CA.
