Founded in 1981, Wild Things is a pretty aggressive outdoor outfitter based in North Conway, NH known best for making military apparel and alpine-focused gear. Though this isn't the Wild Things we're talking about. We're after the Japanese licensed Wild Things, the one with a more refined design sensibility and focus on making apparel that's as at home at the campsite as it is in the city. This Wild Things still draws on its legal parent company's American outdoor heritage, yet expands with hand printed graphics, superior quality materials, and more adventurous design identity. Case in point, the Reversible Hooded PrimaLoft Jacket.
This USA made jacket is a contemporary iteration of a 1990’s staple from the brand’s original line. The update sees a more accommodating, extended rear fit and fresh materials introduced, namely PrimaLoft Silver for insulation and a ripstop Pertex outer. The military inspired jacket is identical on both sides, offering the wearer sorta-green or sorta-sand color options. And oddly enough, it’s available in both adult and child sizes. And really, few things are cooler than really well dressed kids. So buy two if you’re into it.
