Even as so-called core outdoorsmen like to occasionally rip on Poler for pumping out product better suited for backyard camping than "real" backpacking, we gotta hand it to the Portland based stuff maker—they’re design department knows what they're doing. Because really, not everyone has the time, resources, or knowhow to hike the PCT, so let’s just celebrate being outside in any capacity. Cool? Cool.

So anyways Poler just released the second iteration of their High & Dry waterproof bag collection. With five styles, ranging from backpacks to a duffel and even a bumbag, there’s quite a bit to get excited about. But it’s the Rolltop and Rover fanny pack that we’re most keen on.

The Rolltop is exactly as it sounds—a sizable 36 L backpack made of highly durable TPU material with fully taped seams and waterproof YKK zippers. Plus it’s got a neoprene laptop sleeve inside and multiple reflective Bemis tape accents on the outside, further making the argument that this sucker is as well suited for commuting in heavily soggy cities like Portland, as it is for packing into a campsite.

The Rover fanny pack—or bum bag, if you prefer—is another more fun addition to the line. We prefer to wear it like a sash, as it’s better for activities (skating, hiking, walking fast past tourists) while still allowing quick access. Like the Rolltop, the Rover is made of waterproof TPU with taped seams and reflective accents.

Good job, you guys.
