We stumbled across Philadelphia-based clothing label Paratodo last fall while visiting their home city. Drawn to their overall graphic design-lead aesthetic and philanthropic approach to making apparel we've kept an eye on the brand. And while they don’t make the most technical gear, we appreciate their core driving elements—manufacturing in USA and donating 25% of profits to a new charity each season. For FW16 they took on climate change, and for spring, they’ve partnered with Waves For Water, a nonprofit focused on providing clean water to communities in need around the world.
Of the latest collection we’ve found the Sprinter Jacket most interesting. It’s lightweight, comes in a few easy to wear colorways, and features moisture-wicking nylon mesh under the arms and along the back. The super basic design and cotton ripstop base material makes it better suited for casual exploring than expeditions, but considering that’s how most of us approach daily life, we’re backing it.
And like all Paratodo gear, the Sprinter is made in USA. So, support a good cause, a good company, and good design.
