Even as fall takes hold we’re still seeing plenty of warm days here in New York City. This, combined with the looming threat of holiday season, makes right now the best time to get outside and get in shape. Outdoor Voices just dropped a slew of new men’s designs for running, and we’re digging ‘em.
The Austin, Texas-based brand has long been synonymous with design-driven activewear for women, though a sharp eye will show they have always offered a select number of men’s SKUs too. Recently we’ve seen more being added to bolster the men’s side of the brand, while maintaining a dedication to positive vibes and styles at home both in the gym and around town.
Of the new men’s running collection, we’re especially drawn to the performance-focused LightSpeed Shorts in 4”. These hyper-lightweight shorts feature a “silky smooth” liner, reflective details, and flatlock seams to prevent chafing. Even if “silky smooth” is a term we never want to see a brand use again, we’re still down for these shorts.
The new 5” and 7” Lined Rec Shorts are pretty solid too, both offering a sweat-wicking, quick-drying option for running laps or running errands. Of course they could be used for hiking and other more #core outdoor activities too. The marbled prints are really rad too.
And don’t forget the new, and oddly enticing, Ronald McDonald colorway of the OV x Hoka Clifton 4. They’re certainly not for everyone, but if you can pull these off, there’s no stopping you.
